Welcome to the Web page of Friendswood Fire Station #3
Friendswood Station 3 originally was a Forest Bend Fire station, until the Wedgewood, and Forrest Bend Annexation. Friendswood Fire Assumed the fire station in the 1980's. At this time Friendswood Fire assigned this as Friendswood Volunteer Fire Station 3. Since Station 3 has gone through numerous events, as well as upgrades to better serve the community.
During Hurricane Ike in 2008 Station 3 was impacted and suffered damage from the storm, after a lengthy process the station was repaired, and expanded to house the equipment needed to upkeep with the rising need of emergency response. During these repairs, Station 3 got a very sturdy metal roof, and a natural gas generator to ensure it will withstand many storms to come.
Station 3 now houses three primary apparatus. Engine 23 (E-23), Squad 23 (SQ-23), and Rescue Boat 23 (RB-23). Station 3 takes absolute pride in this equipment. We regularly train, and maintain it as to keep ourselves and the equipment ready at all times. Station 3 strives for excellence, and professionalism in everything we do, which is why you will see us regularly active in the community. Wether we are bringing Santa down from the North Pole to visit your neighborhood, or explaining fire safety at our National Night Out.
When you see us at the station on Tuesday afternoons, feel free to stop by. We love hearing from you!
