On Saturday, September 11, 2021 members of your Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department were honored to participate in the 9/11 GoRuck event in Houston, TX. This event commemorated the 20-year anniversary of 9/11 and was sponsored by the Travis Manion foundation. The 9/11 anniversary is a time for us to remember the first responders who gave the ultimate sacrifice that fateful day to include 343 firefighters and EMS personnel and 60 police officers.

Travis Manion who was known for a simple but powerful statement "If not me, then who..." that describes the sense of duty felt by service members, first responders, and their families.

Throughout the year members of your Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department participate in many challenging fundraiser events as a way to honor others as well as improve their physical conditioning.
